A Litmus Test

Folks, if you think stealing election posters is going to somehow shift elections into your favour, then you have shown yourself to be too stupid to be in politics and should recuse yourself from the entire process lest you actually get into a position of power and mess it up for everyone else.

Your performance is measured on how many posters you put up? That’s messed up.

"A Litmus Test" by DA Mal

This is widespread and systematic.

It’s not so much that DA candidates NEED those posters up – they’re not going to win the election for us by themselves. But it’s deeply demoralising when you put in all that work to hang posters, and pay good money for them, and then the party monitors your branch’s performance by how many are hanging up – and then these THIEVES, acting apparently under the official sanction of the ANC, come along and, without compunction or regard for the law, yank hundreds of DA posters down.

People, you must vote against the ANC, even if only because they’re incapable of following the simplest rules of the democratic game.
