Picture It... 3
Cape Town. January 2006. You’re the official opposition. Local municipal elections are two short months away and you might actually have a chance at winning control over a major metropolitan municipality thereby giving yourself some much needed authority and proving to people you can actually govern before the next national elections.
You might have a chance that is, if your local membership weren’t infighting like schoolgirls.

Enlighten me, Farrel: is Theuns Botha another one of those “Old Nats”?
I think so. There seems to be a split between the Nats who are still in the DA (those who didn’t floor cross to the ANC) and the old time DP members. Helen Zille, the DA’s mayoral candidate, and one of the DP camp, has put her weight behind the councillors who have been left off the DA electoral list, so I expect this to get sorted out soon.
Sorted out, it was. Farrel, you are right on all counts.
